You are on the website dedicated to the translations of the CK extensions, available on https://www.joomlack.fr and https://www.template-creator.com

On this website you can download the translations package for your own language, for any extension, for free. Please read the documentation to check how to download, but also how to contribute to have your own language available.

How to download

You are probably interested in using the CK extensions in your own language. You only need to find your language pack and install it in your website. Then your extension will be automatically translated. That's cool !

To download a package you must

1. Select the extension that you want to use in the list at the homepage
2. Find your language in the list and click on the Download button
3. Your language is not completed ? Don't worry, you can easily contribute to make it completed !

How to contribute

You can contribute to any extension in your own language. Each user will be assigned to one language. To do that, you must register and ask for an access, once it is validated, you will get access to the interface.

Please note that the English (en-GB) and French (fr-FR) languages are not available for translations. Both languages are already included by default in all extensions and you don't need any package to use them.

All the sources, I mean the words to translate, are in english. To be a contributor, it is highly recommended to have good skills in english.

Ho to register

You can use the login module in the right sidebar to Create an account. Once you have submitted your request, it will need a manual approval by an administrator. It shall be validated within 48h. If you don't have any news, please contact us and give us some information about the problem.

Here are the summary of the steps to become a contributor :

1. Create an account and select the language in which you want to translate
2. Wait for your account approval within the 48h (else contact us)
3. Login to the website
4. Search for the extension you want to translate in the list and your language
5. Click on the Edit button to start the translation

How to translate

You can translate any extension in your own language.

1. Search for the extension you want to translate in the list and your language
2. Click on the Edit button to start the translation

Then you will get the list of all translation files that are available for this extension. One extension can have multiple files because they are located in the component, in the module and also in the plugins. You will get the following information :

• site / admin : location of the file on the website
• en-GB.name.ini : the filename from the english language
• 94% : the percentage of already transalted strings
• Edit : click on the button to access the edition interface

In the edition interface you will get some buttons to help you in the translation.

• Show empty lines : it will hide all the lines that are already translated to show you only the lines where you need to add the translation
• Show suggestions : it will only show the lines where the system has automatically added a suggestion for the translation, according to the existing translations in other extensions
• Show conflicts : show the lines where the system detects a conflict between the new translation and the existing one. This feature is only useful when you are loading an .ini file
• Load a file : if  you already have translated your .ini file on your Joomla website, you can upload it here and it will automatically be loaded by the system to fill the translations

Note that there is no obligation to use the interface to translate. You can translate the .ini file (from the english language) and then upload your file in the interface.

When you have finished your work on the translation,  you must use the Save or Save and Close button to save the changes. The system will get your words and save them in the database and it will also create the language pack for the current extension. This means that after saving your work you can directly use the Download button to install your translation, without the need to wait.

The save method can take few seconds, depending on the extension that you are translating.

How to download the translation

At any time you can download your language pack for any extension. When someone adds a translation, the package is automatically updated during the save method. You don't need to wait to get the latest improvements.

Click on the Download button to download the language pack in ZIP format. You will be able to install the ZIP file directly in your Joomla website using the extensions manager >> upload file.
